Fit In to Stand Out

Fit In to Stand Out

Yes, you heard it right. By this, we don’t mean you need to fit into the boundaries created by society. We mean, to fit in that dress you always wanted to wear. Or the jeans you’ve been eyeing at the mall. In other words, it’s time to shed those extra kilos you always wanted to.

Think of a winter Sunday morning where coffee and blanket are a man’s best friends. Think of the few lazy souls who prefer to slide into their blankets. Feels so good, right?

Now think of those who have ditched the easy way and have gathered at a local park to sweat it out. No, they aren’t only the retired sixty-somethings in their joggers carrying around their decently maintained, half pear-shaped body, trying to soak in the rising sun. You would also spot the Gen Z, the millennials who have realised that good looks can be achieved by being fit.

Be fit. Eat well. Look beautiful!

We aren’t living in the times where you had to run to the chemists or retail and fetch fancy cosmetics to look good. Superficial layers are passé. Gyms, spa, organic diet are the new ways of getting into shape and adding the extra glow you always wanted for your skin.

Focus on your diet. Experts believe that digestion is directly linked to the quality of hair and skin. To put things in perspective, a healthy stomach can make your skin glow and hair shine. When diet is complemented by exercise, it can work wonders. Yoga has always been the sentinel of health. People practicing yoga are seen flaunting their flat bellies and thick hair even in their fifties. The best part about yoga? You need nothing to do it, except motivation. So it’s time to take out the mat and get going. The rewards are on their way.

Sweet rewards of sweating

What happens to your skin when you exercise? The answer lies here. When you sweat, you flush out the

alcohol, cholesterol, and salt from the body which effectively helps in fat skimming, and makes the skin glow. Regular discharge of sweat can make you look younger in the long run. Apart from this, try getting a mild spa at times. It would help you relax your body in a better way.

It’s ‘spa’ctacluar

Remember the time when the words belonging to the spa and salon universe were a part of an exclusive women dictionary? Men have been taking spa like never before. Taking a spa can help you lower stress,

reduce weight and make you look good. Apart from this, adapt to a good facial routine, stick to one kind of moisturiser, and you’re done. Initially you might feel it’s too exhausting, but soon you’ll realise that it’s worth.

Is there a shortcut?

While most of us are still going the right way to achieve the perfect skin, hair, and shape; some still believe there’s a shortcut. Google ‘weight loss techniques’ and you will find a host of bariatric surgery providers, liposuction experts, and the claimers of ‘lose weight in 15 days’ rushing to your inbox and following you as you cavort the web.  However, these do not suit everyone and results can vary depending upon your body and its affinity to such treatments. Further, a strict diet has to be followed to make sure that results survive the test of longevity. Always, double check and try obtaining references for such procedures.

However, to look and feel beautiful, one must figure out a personalised diet, exercises, and a self-care schedule. And like we say in every walk of life; consistency is the key!
