wwe!!! Selfitis is now a confirmed mental disorder. With it in picture, taking too many selfies on your smartphone becomes an obsession.

Borderline Selfitis

–  takes selfies 02-03 times a day but won’t post.

Acute Selfitis

– takes selfies 03 or more  times a day and posts them all.

Chronic Selfitis

– a compulsive urge to click selfies round the clock and posting.

Studies identify the following behaviors of selfie addicts:

  • they are attention seekers
  • they intend to conform to their group 
  • selfies uplift their mood
  • boosts their self confidence

The following set of questions put together by Researchers determine your scale of Selfitis:

  1. I gain more acceptance among peers with my clicked selfies are posted on social-media…and liked / shared
  2. I express myself more effectively in social set up through my selfies.
  3. Clicking various selfie poses increase my social status.
  4. I feel more popular posting my selfies.
  5. Clicking selfies improves my mood. Makes me feel happy.
  6. I am more positive about myself through selfies.
  7. I feel greatly united with my friend’s circle through my selfies.
  8. Selfies are my memories, celebrated moments and occasions.
  9. The more ‘likes’ on social media I get on my selfies, I post still more.
  10. Through selfies, I seek my friends’ approval.
  11. Selfies immediately uplift my mood.
  12. I click selfies and examine them privately to feel good.
  13. If  I don’t click selfies, I feel left out in my peer group.
  14. Selfies are my trophies of future memories.
  15. I put filters on my selfies to enhance them.
  16. Clicking selfies blends me enormously with my environment.
  17. Sharing my selfies creates healthy competition among my friends and colleagues.
  18. I get enormous attention when I post my selfies online.
  19. Selfies help me beat stress.
  20. I feel happy & confident with every selfie I click. 
  21. And last, but not the least, I have a selfie stick 

You may code your responses  as 1 and 5. 1= STRONGLY DISAGREE while 5=STRONGLY AGREE if you chose to try them.  Higher you score on adding, the more likely you are to be a selfie addict.
