Mind, Body, and Pleasure.

Relationships are directly affected by sexual compatibility. There have been uncountable cases where physical incompatibility has led to serious relationship issues, infidelity, and even separation. While there are many factors that can impact your performance inside the bedroom, obesity and mental health play a major role in negatively affecting your sex life.

Obesity & Low Sex Drive

Obesity is linked to low testosterone levels. They fluctuate, and so does your sex drive. This results in immature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, and inability to maintain it for long.

Obese people usually also deal with low metabolism, low stamina, improper diet, elevated cholesterol, high blood pressure, hypertension and diabetes- which may all contribute to lack of sex drive, erectile dysfunction and eventually, sexual dysfunctionality. Obesity not only ruins your looks and gives birth to diseases but it there may even come a situation when you might have to choose- between remaining obese and your partner!

Expect your partner to express the concern, directly or indirectly. If you need to see a physician or a specialist, cooperate! If you need to change your diet or lifestyle, change! You must attack the root of the problem before it spoils your life!

Mental Health and your Sexuality

You wouldn’t like to hear this, but your mental health does affect your physical performance.

Stress or depression are highly responsible for a low sex drive. Depression generally tends to suck the enthusiasm out of your life. There would be days you wouldn’t want to steam things up inside the bedroom. Your depressed state of mind will not only affect your performance, but your partner’s mood as well.

A lot of times, these problems need medical care and attention, apart from a mutual effort.

However, there are a few things you can do to improve your sexual life: –

  • Have a free mind, try yoga and meditation.
  • Exercise, it releases happy hormones that alleviate depression.
  • Eat foods that are good for mental well- being.
  • Avoid foods that put off the mood.
  • Make sure you have low blood pressure and high metabolism
  • Talk about your mental state with your partner.
