WHAT IS ASTIGMATISM
Astigmatism is a common eye problem that causes blurry vision. When the lens or cornea - the clear layer that covers the eye - has slight imperfections, it may not refract light correctly. You could have trouble seeing fine details, both nearby and in the distance. A pair of glasses or contacts usually solves the problem.
SYMPTOMS OF ASTIGMATISM
Blurred vision, Distortion of part of visual field, Headache, Pain or discomfort, Frequent squinting, Change in vision
DIAGNOSIS AND TREATMENT

Treatment: Getting a pair of glasses is the standard treatment for astigmatism. Other treatments include:
1. Contacts
2.Special rigid contacts that gradually reshape the cornea to fix the astigmatism
3.Laser surgery to correct the problem
