Cervical Spondylosis

WHAT IS CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS

Cervical spondylosis is arthritis of the neck. It happens when the vertebrae in the cervical spine or neck break down, lose fluid, and get stiffer as you age. In some cases, bone spurs called osteophytes may form on the bones of neck. These spurs can narrow the spinal column, causing a related condition called cervical spinal stenosis. It is usually treated with rest, medication, and physiotherapy. In rare cases, you may need surgery.
